Report Configuration

Last updated: July 10, 2020

The Report Configuration page allows users to create new or edit existing reports to be used with the Reports page, or widget drill-downs.

Creating a New Report

Click the New Report button to bring up the New Report dialog and give the new report a name.

Enter a name, description (optional) and the width of the dashboard or report and choose the type by selecting one of the radio buttons then click Create to generate the dashboard or report.

The new report will be added to the Report Selection treeview, and the Report Configuration pane will populate with the default report attributes. The values can be changed by double-clicking on the Value cells. Pressing the Reset to Defaults button will revert any changes to the default values.

Most options are self-explanatory, but a couple that may be of interest are:

  • Allows Multiple Site Selection:
    • Allows more than one site to be selected against a report.
    • On the Reports page, the Selection Details pane is larger, to accommodate multiple site selections.
  • PDF Mode:
    • PDF – Original HMTL Tools
    • PDF Advanced – New upgraded PDF tool
    • PDF Advanced 1 Widget Wide – New upgraded PDF tool and each widget is on a row by itself

Unlock and Edit Report

To add content to the report, click the Unlock and Edit Report button.

  • This will open the dashboard configuration screen.
  • Initially, the report will be blank.
  • Use the Edit menu to drag widgets onto the report.
  • This report will not appear as a dashboard, only on the Reports page, or will be accessible via drill-down from certain widgets.
  • Populate the report dashboard and configure the widgets as with standard dashboards.
  • When finished, click the padlock icon to return to the Report Configuration screen.
  • Click the Preview Report button to see a preview to screen.

All reports in the list can be edited from Report Configuration, by selecting them individually from the Report Selection treeview.
